Moot Court Guyana gets new Executive Board.

The outgoing Executive Board of Moot Court Guyana formally convened a swearing-in ceremony for the incoming Executive Board on Thursday, September 5, 2024. This event marked the official transition of leadership within the organization and was held in accordance with the established procedural guidelines governing Moot Court Guyana’s executive appointments.

The ceremony was attended by several distinguished legal and academic luminaries, including the Vice Chancellor of the University of Guyana, Dr. Paloma Mohamed-Martin, and retired Justice Kenneth Benjamin, and H.O.D. Additionally, the outgoing Master and Mistress of the Moot were in attendance to offer remarks. Each of these figures imparted words of encouragement to the newly elected executive members, underscoring the gravity of their roles and the professional responsibilities they are about to undertake.

Their addresses collectively emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law, the values of judicial integrity, and the critical role Moot Court Guyana plays in fostering legal education and advocacy skills among its members.
